A classroom management strategy I use every year without fail!
 
It works wonders in encouraging positive line behaviour - going out to yard, on the way to assembly, heading to choir, etc. 
 
I usually remind the children when we are lining up that I'm looking for my Secret Star...those words are like magic!
 
At the end of each day, I announce who the Secret Star is...who then receives a big bualadh bos and a brag bracelet to wear home.
 
After saying our affirmations the next morning, I award the Secret Star from the day before with the little sign 'I am the Secret Star' attached onto a lanyard and they wear it with pride for the day!
 
The same thing happens over and over each day. I guarantee they will remind you at the end of each day to announce who the Secret Star is. They will not let you forget as they just love it so much!
